Essentials of U.S. Export Controls


This is an intensive, one-day program that covers the key information you need to know to comply with the EAR. Counseling and other professionals from the Bureau of Industry and Security (BIS) will cover the major elements of the U.S. export control system for commercial exports. This fast-paced program is ideal for those with busy schedules.


About the Instructors


The instructors are experienced export policy specialists and engineers from BIS's Washington, D.C. headquarters. The instructors will be available throughout the seminar to answer your questions on how the export regulations affect the export activities of your organization or client.


Location/time

The program will be held at the Salvatore’s Italian Gardens, 6461 Transit Road, Buffalo, N.Y. 14043. Registration and continental breakfast will begin at 7:30 a.m. on September 21, 2016. The program will begin at 8:30 a.m. and end at 4:30 p.m.

Accommodations

A special conference rate of $156 plus tax (standard king size) room has been arranged with the Delavan Hotel and Spa, located at the seminar venue, telephone (716) 456-6036. Continental breakfast is provided. Arrangements have also been made with Salvatore’s Garden Palace Hotel, located at 6615 Transit Road, Williamsville, N.Y. 14221, telephone (716) 635 9000. The conference rate is $92.65 for a Standard King to $101.15 for a Double Queen. This hotel is a three-minute drive from the venue and a complimentary shuttle bus to the venue will be provided. Registration

 

The registration fee for the Essentials of U.S. Export Controls seminar is $255 per person before August 1 or $265 after. The registration fee to attend both this seminar and How to Develop an Export Management and Compliance Program on September 22 is $460 by August 1 or $470 after. The fee includes continental breakfasts, coffee breaks, lunches and materials for the entire seminar. Registration fees are nonrefundable after September 9, 2016.
